2. Dinner first
Their Valentine tasting menu was sincerely delicious. I chose grilled scallops as a starter, then lobster bisque with piece of fried lobster as a soup, beef tenderloin with slice of Foie gras, truffle puree, stir fried leek and Foie gras sauce as a main dish and I finished the tasting with chocolate cake with strawberry tartar, blood orange sorbet and chocolate chips. The starter, the soup and dessert were really amazing. I loved them all…. However, what I did not like that much was the main dish as I am not a big fan of Foie gras. The 4-course degustation cost 590 Kč/person, wine not included which was not expensive.
When I am choosing a new restaurant where we could go with my husband, I do not only look at the dishes they serve, but I am also interested in the interior of the restaurant as well as service. Unfortunately Prague offers sometime a very poor service in the restaurants. But this Chateau St. Havel was an exception – great interior, great food, great service. But this was not the end of our date.
