The term “hipster” originated back in the 1940’s with people who were rejecting mainstream fashion. They didn’t want to listen to what culture told them to wear. Since then the hipster fashion has evolved and nowadays more and more people are considered “hipster”.
“Being hipster is all about expressing your own idea of fashion and not being afraid to mix and match different types of clothes,” says Lexi Wahlstom. What do they wear? Hipster clothing includes, for instance, layering and mixing styles and then dressing them up with fun accessories like unique glasses, colourful headbands, and scarfs. Their favorite shoes are combat boots, Converse, Keds or vintage shoes.
